About

The Trinity is the most central shopping centre in Aberdeen and we couldn’t be more proud to call this city our home. The history #InTheCentre, both inside and out and the resilience, diversity and positivity of Aberdeen’s city centre businesses makes us beam with pride. We have stood in this same spot for over 40 years and have witnessed some of the biggest moments in our city’s history. The centre is home to a variety of different shops selling everything from beauty, clothing and homeware to gifting, children’s toys, outdoor wear and so much more.

Being right in the heart of the city, we see all of the amazing things going on around us. So much love is poured into this city by its natural ambassadors, customers and businesses.

There’s the nightlife, the sport, the recently completed Union Terrace Gardens, a constantly evolving street art scene, plentiful walks like the nearby beach promenade, the historic King’s College, Old Aberdeen, the local dolphins and wildlife around Torry and Greyhope Bay, and so much more. We’re only a few minutes away from a great show or gig at His Majesty’s Theatre, The Music Hall, The Lemon Tree or The Tivoli. We are perfectly placed for parking in Aberdeen, going shopping in the city centre and eating out or enjoying a drink at one of the many excellent bars and restaurants.

We have a rich history which dates right back to our opening in 1984. The construction of the centre involved incorporating historical streets and buildings with the objective of blending the old with the new to create a vibrant shopping experience in the heart of Aberdeen. We were originally known as The Trinity Centre before becoming known as The Mall in 2006, before switching back to our namesake in 2009, The Trinity, of which we have become both locally known and loved for.
Throughout the years, the centre has undergone several expansions and renovations to meet the ever-changing needs of the community. Beyond our retail offerings, we have also played a role in hosting celebrations, promotions and events working with our stores, charities and the local community.

As the years have passed, The Trinity has been permanent fixture in Aberdeen’s urban landscape.

Following our acquisition in 2023 by Ardent Group at the hands of locally cherished businesses such as Ivy Lodge, Douglas Hotel, Molly’s Bistro, Craftsman Aberdeen, Malones and so many more, we are at a turning point for the future of the centre and with fresh, local eyes at the helm, we are extremely excited about the future and the sheer potential of the centre.
