The Trinity Centre held a carnival-themed event on Saturday 30th June which has raised more than £1,000 for children’s charities.
The centre took part in One Great Day – a national series of community charity events held to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) as well as other locally-based charities.
Having taken part since 2015, it has raised just under £6,700 in total.
The event, on Saturday, featured carnival stalls such as hoopla, tin can alley and hook-a-duck, where customers were given the chance to win a party for 10 at Aberdeen's Jump In Trampoline Park, as well as face painting, balloon modelling and a glitter braid bar.
General manager Linda Stewart said:
“The event was really good and the centre was very busy. The facepainting and glitter hair braids were really popular, as was the popcorn and candyfloss stall, gifted to us by local business Wowzie. We look forward to definitely hosting another One Great Day next year.
“Hosting an event like this gives us the chance to help support the wonderful work of CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity do.
“One Great Day is about community engagement and raising money for a number of great causes, but it is also a fantastic opportunity for families in the area to get together and enjoy a fun day out while spending quality time together.”
