Furnish your student accommodation for under £100

Armed with a kit list and a budget, we tasked the team in the Trinity Centre to furnish their student accommodation for less than £100! 

Using a combination of student discounts, in-store promotions and some savvy choices with what is actually needed in accommodation, we spent some time on the shop floor in the Trinity Centre to kit out our [imaginary] student accommodation!  Whether it’s halls or a flat share, we found everything we need for living away from home whilst at university and all within a budget. 

Flying Tiger

Flying Tiger in the Trinity Centre was the first stop for our kitchen supplies, including cocktail shakers, ice cube trays, string lights, a pizza box and an inflatable pillow 

Inside Out

A new pop-up shop in the Trinity Centre, Inside Out stocks some canvas wall art that would be perfect in a living room or bedroom, with a small print starting from £8

The Works

We found a student cookbook in The Works for £3! Also some jigsaw puzzles for £2 each and an inflatable palm tree drinks cooler for £3. 

Holland & Barrett

No kitchen is complete without some multi-vitamins in the cupboard and some relaxation oils to be used around exam time. 

Superdrug

Plenty of “better than half price” in-store offers and multibuy promotions in Superdrug in the Trinity Centre, which means you could scoop all the basic bathroom requirements for around £20

HMV 

We found mini wireless speakers in HMV for £6.99 or a LED bluetooth speaker for £9.99, which one you use depends on whether you went for the palm tree drinks cooler or not. 

Clintons

Clintons yankee candles selection would be ideal for a living room or kitchen; and the illuminate scented tealights are on offer for 4 for £1

Trespass

Our best find in Trespass for student accommodation is a yoga mat on sale for £9.99, a single air mattress for £15.99 and a hammock for £12.99!

Debenhams

The Debenhams clearance section will help you finish furnishing the kitchen and the 20% off promotion runs across the bedding, linen and towel department too.

The Trinity Centre is open* Monday to Sunday, with late night shopping on Thursday evening.
