Let's Play Dress Up!

#WeddingGuest - What to wear to a wedding?

It's pretty normal to be confused on what to wear to a wedding, whether you're heading to a traditional wedding or setting off to a tropical affair it's a good idea to plan ahead however there are some basic ground rules that are worth referencing before rushing to the big day in a panic.

#1 - Dress up for summer

A dress is always a safe go-to option when trying to decide what to wear to a wedding. Add a pair of heels and a slick of lipstick and you're good to go. Just remember to stay away from white unless you're told otherwise, it's a BIG no-no!

Gone are the days where wearing flats to a wedding was frowned upon. Sometimes wearing a comfortable but stylish pair of pumps can accentuate an outfit, if you're heading abroad then it's also totally acceptable to wear a glamorous pair of sandals. But if heels are your thing and your outfit requires a little elevation then make sure they are able to party harder than all your other footwear. We do LOVE a bit of sparkle!

#3 - Wear a trouser suit/jump suit

While wearing a dress is a safe option it's also perfectly acceptable to change it up and wear a trouser suit or jump-suit, not only will you offer a refreshing take on a wedding dress code, but you can also wear the outfits separately for work as well as to other events. BONUS!

While it can be tempting to carry EVERYTHING in your day-to-day tote bag, it doesn't scream special occasion! Instead go minimal and pick up a clutch bag and cut loose all heavy "necessities", only pack your utmost essentials for the day; think of it as a bag detox!
